Hudson Heights

Hudson Heights is a NYC neighborhood nestled on an elevated plateau on top of a high bluff that overlooks the Hudson River. As a result, this the highest natural point in the city, with the peak at Bennett Park, enthralls inhabitants and visitors alike with majestic views. Many of the neighborhood’s varied home styles, most of the structures built before World War II, range from Art Deco to Tudor revival. From the 1920s to the 1940s, the area experienced a boost in residential construction. Today, the many apartment and cooperative complexes built in those days, dominate the landscape. The area has also seen an influx of luxury condo buildings over the course of the last 30 years. The natural borders of Hudson Heights are defined by the Hudson River to the west, and the Fort Washington Avenue to the east. From north to south, the neighborhood starts at Fort Tryon Park and slopes down to 181st Street.
